Favorite Cafe's to Work From In Philly (and the Burbs)

1. Artesano Cafe, Manayunk

We love the vibe here – the cafe is filled with plants (for purchase), Ironwork, and cool music! We like to meet our clients here, as there is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating throughout. Our favorite spot to sit is in the outdoor courtyard. If you are looking for something different on the weekends there is a food truck open for brunch!

2. Thunder Mug Café, East Falls

While the menu is not huge, this is a great place to go mid-morning or afternoon to grab your favorite espresso beverage and pastry.  There is plenty of room to spread out and work and you will more than likely always find an outlet! One of our favorite features about this café is that they have a printer – wow!

3. Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee & Books, Germantown

Their slogan says it all: “Cool People. Dope Books. Great Coffee.”  And one more thing – a cozy environment!  They even have an assortment of danishes & croissants from Au Fournil AND vegan cookies & brownies from Crust Vegan Bakery – so good!

4. La Colombe, Fishtown, Dilworth Plaza, Rittenhouse Square, Independence Mall

Our favorite location is the one in Fishtown –  The assorted quiche, large selection of pastries, and their signature draft lattes are always our go-to’s!

5. One Shot Cafe, Northern Liberties

One Shot has lots of seating, creative espresso drinks and great brunch options. They are open 7am – 4pm during the week, so it’s a great place to work in the morning. The upstairs is a designated quiet floor with lots of tables and two sofas, so you’re always sure to be surrounded by others who are there to work too!

6. Reanimator Coffee, Cedar Park, Kensington, Port Richmond, South Philly, Fishtown

Reanimator has several locations in Philadelphia, but the Cedar Park location is excellent for getting work done because it has great seating options, lots of outlets, and plenty of natural sunlight. Reanimator is known for having smooth and strong coffee and has a lot of loyal customers.

7. Mr Deer the Camp, Chinatown

This tea café has spacious seating, relaxing and quiet vibes and a menu including milk tea, fresh tea, fruit tea, brown sugar tea, and more. They also serve snacks like spring rolls and curry shrimp to enjoy while you work. They have free wifi, plenty of outlets, and are open until 9pm most days!

1. The Landing Kitchen, Bala Cynwyd (Walkable from Manayunk)

We get inspired while working along the riverside on the outdoor patio. For those colder days, take a seat in front of their gas fire pit or find a table in the heated outdoor area! They do have limited indoor seating in their sun-soaked, industrial-chic eatery.  We are huge breakfast fans, and guess what? Breakfast is served all day here – woohoo! Some of our must-haves are the avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches on Kismet Bagels, and the maple yogurt with seasonal fruit and granola – yum!
