Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest opens on November 25th for its 29th season! This Philly favorite annual event features ice skating, food, drinks and games along the Delaware river. It’s a perfect place to kick off the season with friends and family, and the holiday tree at Winterfest features tens of thousands of LED lights, making it a great place to experience holiday lights within the city (for a short trip outside the city, the Holiday Light Show Drive Through at Shady Brook Farm in Newtown is WORTH the trip!).

After enjoying some ice skating on the RiverRink, warm up around the fire pits that are spread throughout the seating area at Winterfest. Visit The Lodge – a large heated tent that hosts a full service bar, along with vendors serving hot apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee and more. Enjoy food such as burgers, fries, hot dogs, tacos, and soft pretzels, or purchase a S’mores kit to use at your fire pit!

Enjoy Winterfest while it lasts! The first week of March is the last week to attend. Then, the RiverRink area will be closed until SummerFest is set up and ready to launch at the start of May.
